Dataset underlying the longitudinal field study with Flaviri included in Chapter 6 of the PhD thesis "Flavobacteria across Time and Scale: Designing for Human-Microbe Engagement"

This project investigates everyday engagement with a Flavobacteria living artefact, namely Flaviri. We designed Flaviri to sustain Flavobacteria, a microorganism known for its dynamic and temporal colourations, and enable two distinct ways for participants to interact with the organism, each eliciting different microbial responses. Then, we deployed Flaviri in a four-week longitudinal study with six participants. We analysed human engagement in relation to microbial expressions through diary entries, semi-structured interviews, and interaction data from embedded sensors. This dataset includes the logbooks of participants and sensor data of the deployed artefacts. The transcripts will be included soon upon anonymisation.
