The Sansha Yongle Blue Hole is the known deepest marine blue hole with unique physicochemical characteristics that can support extraordinary communities and isolated ecosystems in geographically restricted areas. We collected twelve sediment samples from the SYBH and performed the first comprehensive analysis of archaeal, bacterial, and eukaryotic communities in the SYBH sediments using eDNA metabarcoding. Our goal is assessing the ecological patterns and driving mechanisms of archaeal, bacterial and eukaryotic communities in the SYBH.
