该数据集包含了2020年青藏高原草原水平及垂直样带土壤和植被碳氮含量。土壤中碳(C)、氮(N)元素作为植物生长发育所需的重要营养元素,其含量高低及其化学计量特征不仅可以反映植物制造同化产物的能力和养分利用效率,还能判断影响植物生长发育的限制性元素。其中,C:N是判定叶片光合作用固碳能力的重要依据,因此分析高原地区水平及垂直样带上土壤及植物的碳氮含量,对生态环境建设具有重要意义。该数据主要是通过2020年的样带考察时实地观测获得(此后在实验室内进行分析测定)。获得样方植物样品后利用中科院植物所分析中心元素分析仪及总碳/总氮分析仪测试。其中,土壤有机碳及总氮为三个重复取样所得平均数。共获得了8个样点不同草地类型水平样带样点的土壤碳氮含量及22个水平样带样方、5个垂直样带样方的植被叶片碳氮含量。

This dataset contains soil and vegetation carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) contents along the horizontal and vertical transects of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau grasslands in 2020. As critical nutrients for plant growth and development, carbon and nitrogen in soil, along with their contents and stoichiometric characteristics, can not only reflect plants' capacity to produce assimilates and nutrient use efficiency, but also identify limiting elements affecting plant growth and development. Among these, the C:N ratio serves as an important indicator for evaluating the carbon sequestration capacity of leaf photosynthesis. Therefore, analyzing the carbon and nitrogen contents of soil and vegetation along the plateau's horizontal and vertical transects is of great significance for ecological environment construction. This dataset was primarily obtained via field observations during the 2020 transect survey, followed by laboratory analysis and measurement. After collecting plant samples from the quadrats, tests were conducted using the elemental analyzer and total carbon/total nitrogen analyzer from the Analytical Center of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Notably, soil organic carbon and total nitrogen contents represent the averages derived from three replicate samplings. In total, soil carbon and nitrogen contents were acquired from 8 sampling sites along horizontal transects covering different grassland types, as well as vegetation leaf carbon and nitrogen contents from 22 quadrats along horizontal transects and 5 quadrats along vertical transects.
