To monitor the ocean surface waves, ocean surface currents, sea ice drifts and sea ice keel depth, 5-beam ADCP (signature 500) was installed at the top of the JAMSTEC's mooring system. The deployment site is BCW in the mouth of the Barrow Canyon.
