Evaluation of the biological treatment of a real contaminated groundwater through reductive dechlorination biostimulation

In this study, a microcosm study on real contaminated groundwater has been set up to assess the possibility to use bioaugmentation and/or biostimulation treatmets. Various conditions, including biostimulation (i.e. the supply of electron donor) and bioaugmentation (i.e. the supply of the enriched dechlorinating consortium) were tested to evaluate the feasibility of biological treatment.
