Victorian Population Health Survey 2008 - VHISS

The data in the reporting module is based on the data collected through theVictorian Population Health Survey (VPHS) 2008. The VPHS is an importantcomponent of the population health surveillance capacity of the Department ofHealth.The VPHS has been conducted each year since 2001, and previously was based ona sample of approximate 7500 adults aged 18 years and over, randomly selectedfrom households in the state. In 2008, the sample was expanded toapproximately 34,000 to enable analysis at the local government area (LGA)level. The VPHS is an ongoing source of high quality information on the healthand wellbeing of Victorian adults.
