资源简介:
We applied inorganic N (30 kg ha-1 year-1) for 13 years (2006-2019) in a boreal forest dominated by Populus tremuloides Michx. and measured total fungal necromass concentrations (amino sugar; glucosamine) and total C concentrations in organic and mineral soil. We also measured total fungal biomass concentrations (ergosterol) in soil, condensed tannin and chitin concentrations of mycorrhizal roots, and the genetic capacity of the ectomycorrhizal fungal community to produce chitinases and class II peroxidases.
The experiment had four blocks, each containing two 20 × 20 m plots surrounded by a 5–10 m forest buffer. Each of the two plots within a block was randomly assigned to either control or N addition (30 kg N ha-1 year-1) treatment. Subsamples were taken from each of the plots and pooled.
This is an excel spreadsheet. The first tab describes the data and the two other tabs include the data.
These data are part of an existing dataset from the published paper Karst, J., Wasyliw, J., Birch, J. D., Franklin, J., Chang, S. X., & Erbilgin, N. (2021).
