Twenty-four HFD-fed mice were randomly assigned to four groups: HFD, HPD, mice receiving faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from the HFD group (FMT-F), and mice receiving FMT from the HPD group (FMT-P). In week 10, the recipient mice received antibiotic cocktails (ABX: vancomycin 1.5 g/mouse, neomycin sulfate 3 g/mouse, metronidazole 3 g/mouse, and ampicillin 3 g/mouse) via oral gavage daily for 2 weeks. FMT started at the end of week 12 and lasted for 4 weeks.
