Draft genome of 1-FT3.2, a myxobacterium from northern peatland soil

This predatory bacterium was obtained from soil samples collected in Pallas, northern Finland, when cultivated on Mucilaginibacter cryoferens FT3.2 as prey. A pure culture of the new strain could not be obtained, but its draft genome was assembled from sequencing reads derived from the co‑culture with its prey. According to the genome analysis with CheckM2, this 7.2 Mb-long draft genome is 81% complete and only 0.5% contaminated. GTDB-tk-based analysis suggest the classification within the family Polyangiaceae (phylum Myxococcota). md5sum for the file: 5cf69e2894225c17590a47211347c8f0
