In 2023, approximately 45 percent of Gen X Italians, meaning those born between 1965 and 1980, stated in our survey on the subject of "Regularly consumed groceries" that they regularly consume ice cream. By comparison, among the Generation Z, meaning those born between 1995 and 2012, the share of those who regularly consume ice cream was 26 percent. The survey was conducted online among 12,209 respondents in Italy, in 2023.
