Berenike (Egypt) Excavation Documentation Dataset: 2025 Field Season – Project "Inhabiting post-Roman Egyptian port: the households of Berenike".

This dataset contains digital documentation produced during archaeological excavations conducted at Berenike (Egypt) in 2025. It provides structured documentation of digital files associated with the excavation work, including inventories of document collections and detailed listings of individual files. The dataset records metadata such as file names, formats, file sizes, authorship, and the organizational structure of the documentation. The purpose of this dataset is to facilitate transparency, long-term preservation, and reuse of excavation documentation generated during archaeological research. The documentation was produced within the framework of a research project funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (NCN), project no. 2023/49/B/HS3/02067, entitled “Inhabiting the Post-Roman Egyptian Port: The Households of Berenike.” The data were generated as part of archaeological fieldwork carried out at Berenike on the Red Sea coast of Egypt within the Polish-German Joint Expedition to Berenike – the Berenike Project. The Berenike Manual included in the dataset was authored by Mariusz Gwiazda.
