USGS Products

The USGS Products are an extensive collection of publicly available resources that encompass a broad range of geological topics, including natural disaster that threaten human lives and health, natural resources, and the health/changes in earth’s ecosystems and environment, including the impact on land-use change. The information provided in the products supports decision-making on environmental, resource, and public safety issues. Some products of interest include: 1) Data products that are provided as data releases from modeling and analysis of specific datasets, or as real-time data that are collected periodically and/or from continuous monitoring in the field. Real-time data contain information about Earthquakes, Floods, Wildfires, Water conditions, Volcanoes, Landslides, and Drought; 2) Software for data modeling and analysis. Some applications include samples of processed data; 3) Web Tools for data access, analysis, and visualizations, along with access to digital data repositories, and interactive maps; and 4) Maps that present geologic, topographic, volcanic, and other related information in interactive maps. Each data product offers text search capabilities and options to filter results by data type, topic, and year.
