Decision support tools for performance prediction and recommendation domains

Research Informatics Unit and the Genetic, Genomic and Crop Improvement at CIP have developed a tool that connects statistically analogous locations using climate data from World Climate (Hijmans et al., 2005) and soil data from FAO (FAO et al., 2009). Both Databases are at 30 arc-second raster size. The tool uses the MaxEnt approach (Steven et al., 2006) programmed in R (Dismo Package) to develop a matrix of homologous environments for visualization as maps using Leaflet for R and Google Maps.
