Dataset for article Genotype × temperature interactions in cleistogamous flower production: implications for yield optimization in soybean (<i>Glycine max</i> L., Fabaceae)
收藏资源简介:
With increasing demands for higher crop yields, understanding how genetics and environment influence plant reproductive traits is crucial. Cleistogamy, where self-pollinating flowers remain closed, protects against stress and ensures seed production in autogamous crops like soybean. Genetics and temperature impact the balance of cleistogamous and chasmogamous flowers, influencing pollinator dependence. Recent findings challenge the view of soybean as primarily self-pollinating, showing greater reliance on pollinators in warm regions due to temperature effects on flower development. Our study on soybean cultivars reveals temperature's positive influence on chasmogamous flower production varies by cultivar, highlighting genotype × temperature interactions.
