资源简介:

*Ossahinta*, launched on June 28, 1887, was one of the last steamboats on Skaneateles Lake. In response to the success of the steamboat *Glen Haven*, in service since 1876, a rival steamboat company was created by Samuel Allen and William Grime. The vessel was designed by the Skaneateles-based Bowdish Boat Company and built by the Geneva, NY boatbuilder Alonzo Springstead. The boat was 68 ft (20.7 m) long with a beam of 11.25 ft (3.4 m) and powered by a 30 HP single cylinder vertical engine with a Clyde pattern boiler. From 1887 - 1905 *Ossahinta* was captained by George Cady. The boat was sold to the Auburn and Syracuse Electric Railroad in 1905 where it continued operations alongside *Glen Haven* and *City of Syracuse*. In 1909 *Ossahinta* was hauled out for repairs at Ten Mile Point. Following years of neglect, the vessel was burned to the waterline and sank sometime after 1914. I would like to thank the Institute of Nautical Archaeology for funding the project that made this model possible. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
