Community analysis of biofilter microorganisms exposed to contaminants

This study compared the microbial community of a full-scale drinking water biofilter to biofilter media microcosms exposed to either caffeine or formaldehyde. Microorganisms within biofilms developed on plastic MBBR carriers and exposed to caffeine or formaldehyde were also analyzed.
