Synthetic CCS–MRV Dataset for OFP–OSDU Integration in Carbon Storage Reporting
收藏资源简介:
This dataset represents, to the best of our knowledge, the first publicly available synthetic Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) dataset explicitly mapped to both the Open Footprint (OFP) model and the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) schemas (Facility, Well, Pipeline, Storage). It was developed to fill a critical gap by enabling MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) testing, standards-based reporting validation, and interoperability between sustainability and subsurface operations data in the energy sector. The dataset contains 10 facilities with annual, monthly, and daily injection records across more than 20 parameters, including capture technology, CO2 captured and injected, transport losses, reservoir type and conditions, leak events, methane emissions, and net CO2 stored. All values are synthetically generated but follow realistic industry ranges and mass balance rules, with logic applied per reservoir type (e.g., saline and basalt = no CO2 produced; depleted gas = 0.1–5% recycled). This enables reproducible research and system prototyping without exposing confidential or proprietary project data. This dataset is FAIR-compliant (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and intended for use in: CCS MRV reporting system prototyping Data model integration testing between OFP and OSDU Benchmarking analytics pipelines for carbon storage monitoring Academic research, teaching, and demonstration purposes Schema Alignment for CCS (SCCS-OFPOSDU) This dataset has been explicitly mapped to the Open Footprint (OFP) emissions model and to publicly available Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) Well-Known Schemas (WKS) and Well-Known Entities (WKE), including: WKS:master-data–Facility → facility_id, country_code, lat, lon, reservoir_type WKS:master-data–Asset → capture_tech, pipeline_length_km, transport_mode WKE:Wellbore / Well → well_id, injection_start_date, injection_end_date, avg_reservoir_pressure_MPa, avg_reservoir_temp_C WKE:ProductionData → co2_injected_tonnes, co2_produced_tonnes WKE:Measurement → co2_captured_tonnes, capture_energy_MWh, transport_loss_tonnes, ch4_emissions_tonnes WKE:Event / Method → leak_events_count, leak_mass_tonnes, mmv_methods, ogmp_source_category (Proposed) EnvironmentalData extension → co2_net_stored_tonnes (net balance after MRV adjustments) Disclaimer: This dataset is entirely synthetic and does not represent actual company or facility data. It is provided for educational, research, and development purposes only.
