Nuclear Tyrosyl-tRNA Synthetase Tissue Transcriptomic Analysis

The goal of this project was to determine the transcriptional network under nuclear tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase (TyrRS) in a tissue specific manner using a nuclear TyrRS deficient mouse model. We discovered nuclear TyrRS on the organismal level plays a pivotal role in metabolism especially in adipose maintenance. It was important to uncover the transcriptional regulation in adipose and another metabolically active organ, liver, to understand these phenotypes.
