Two synthetic groups of fastq files with a known population of Defective Viral Genomes (DVGs) and the full genome virus. - 'sars216' dataset was generated from SARS-CoV-2 genome - 'tumv72' dataset was generated from Turnip Mosaic Virus. The composition of each file is defined in the composition file uploaded in the GitHub repository: https://github.com/MJmaolu/SyntheticSamplesWithDVGs. Simulated samples used to evaluate the performance of the DVGfinder tool (https://github.com/MJmaolu/DVGfinder).
