Private pensions: scope, design and distribution effects, 1989

This project maps the pension schemes for employees in the private labor market. The purpose of the project was to contribute to the knowledge about these plans' scope, design and distribution among categories of workers. The project is primarily based on material gathered through an enquete distributed to a variety of private enterprises as well as a survey of a sample of workers. The survey is organized around three main issues:

1 What types of businesses have a pension plan for the employees?
2 How is the individual pension schemes designed in terms of administration/finance, pension plans, profit allocation and participation opportunities for workers?
3 How is the participation and pension entitlements for each category of workers?
