The Ocean Serial data in this accession was collected as part of Global Ocean Data Archeaology and Rescue (GODAR) project using ship FALKEN. The data was collected over 90 years from a period spanning from May 2, 1903 to November 12, 1993. Oceanographic Station Data contain physical and chemical oceanographic data recorded at discrete depth levels. The data containing 27,287 profiles and 352,979 records was submitted in ICES format to NODC by Dr. Harry Dooley, International Council for Exploration of the Sea, Denmark via Robert Gelfeld.
