Multi-model ensemble of regional reanalyses over Italy - Hourly precipitation

This dataset contains the multi-model ensemble mean of hourly precipitation fields of four high-resolution regional-reanalysis products recently developed over Italy by dynamically downscaling the global reanalysis ERA5 with different convection-permitting numerical models: MERIDA_HRES (Viterbo et al., 2024) MOLOCH (Capecchi et al., 2023) SPHERA (Giordani et al., 2023) VHR-REA_IT (Adinolfi et al., 2023) Before the ensemble aggregation, the individual reanalysis fields have been pre-processed through a re-projection over a common regular latitude-longitude grid with a grid spacing of 3 km, and retaining only the grid points over the Italian territory. This dataset is currently available for the period December 2006 - November 2016.
