Tax Parcel Layer

The Tax Parcels Layer is to assist the Assessors in value determinations of Real Property in Rock County, outside of the Cities of Beloit and Janesville. Tax Parcels are defined by Certified Survey Maps, Subdivision Plats, Condominium Plats, Plats of Survey and Deeds recorded in the Register of Deeds Office, using the most current information available. Drawing techniques include COGO and heads up digitizing from Aerial Photography. These data were prepared pursuant to Section 70.09 of Wis. Stats. using public records. Tax Parcels may consist of more than one lot, or may be split into more than one part. This layer is created for taxation and assessment purposes, and should not be used to determine property lines. See the documents of record for actual recorded data. Area and Distance measurements displayed within this layer are for reference purposes only. This layer includes the owner and property information.
