We conducted this study to explore the gene expression profile of SoP5CS overexpressed transgenic lines of sugarcane under drought conditions. So that we can validate the expression patterns of different genes in shortage of water. And this study is important for the development of transgenic sugarcane which have the ability to cope with lack of water in Guangxi province since this the most gravid area in sugarcane production. This province has its main cultivation in uplands and relies on rains for its sugarcane production.
