Trajetória Longitudinal dos Alunos de Escolas Profissionalizantes para o Mercado de Trabalho

Abstract The article evaluates the effect of the Vocational Schools (VS) on the occupations and earnings of their graduates in the labor market. Combining longitudinal data from the School Census (2011), SPAECE (2011) and RAIS (2014), estimates of the earning equations, weighted by entropy and corrected for sample selectivity, indicated insignificant effects of VSs on the earnings. Additional estimates of a discrete multinomial model, weighted by entropy for five levels of occupancy, also pointed to insignificant effects of VSs, except for the health area in intermediate occupations.
