Transcriptome analysis between diploid and haploid in the unicellular red alga Galdieria partita

Galdieria partita is the unicellular red alga that inhabits thermo-acidic environments. G. partita exhibits diploid-to-haploid sexual life cycle with morphologically differentiated phases, with both phases being capable of asexual reproduction. In order to reveal the differences in gene expression patterns between diploid and haploid, RNA-seq analysis was performed.
