Low Input DNA Double Strand Break Mapping

The study set out to map endogenous DNA double-stranded breaks (DSBs) in two cell types. The overall goal is to demonstrate that DNA DSBs can be accurately and sensitively mapped using low amounts of input material. Once a low-input compatible method is established, DNA DSBs can then be mapped in cancer patient samples where material is scarce. Analyzing the DNA break landscape in cancer patient samples will advance our understanding of DNA fragility in promoting this disease, particularly cancers driven by gene rearrangements.
