资源简介:
The main objective of this study is to determine the median price that users of particular contraceptive products are willing to buy the contraceptive product they are currently using with a view to maintain contraceptive prices at optimal levels and ensuring sustainability of contraceptive product supply. Other objectives include to measure the likely market share of SFH contraceptive products (by proxy) as well as level of respondents' knowledge of modern FP methods. This study was based on a multi-stage sampling design. Eligible persons for the willingness to pay (WTP) survey were selected by classifying Nigeria into three broad geographical strata: North, South east and South west. From these strata: Jos, Port Harcourt and Lagos were respectively selected (where there were likely to be high contraceptive use). All the LGAs within each stratum were clustered into high income, medium income and low income areas based on their social economic status (SES). From each cluster, buildings in the clusters are randomly selected and female users of the various FP products between the ages of 15 to 49 years were selected from each building in the location.
