Understanding the impact of moisture and phosphorus deficits on oil palm growth and palm-rhizospheric bacteria interaction

This thesis investigates the relationship between soil microbiota and oil palm growth under drought and phosphorous stress. This work employs a multidisciplinary approaches involving transcriptomics study, statistical modelling, computer vision, controlled field experiment and soil microbiome profiling. The findings highlight the role of soil microbiome in shaping plant stress responses and potential for microbiome-assisted plant breeding.
