For each of the four QTLs that define secondary infection immunity to T. gondii, a list of all genes that have a DNA polymorphism between A/J and C5BL/6J mice, and are encoded within the QTL boundaries defined by the maximal genetic marker (real or imputed markers inferred in r/QTL) and the two flanking markers on either side; LOD scores and position are indicated. For each gene, its location and unique identifiers are listed, as well as the number and class of small nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) between A/J and C57BL/6J are shown. Total number of SNPs for each gene were also tallied (‘Sum mutation’), and in bold are genes whose SNPs are two standard deviations greater than the average SNP for that class within the QTL region. In these QTL regions, there were also 476 (chr7), 88 (chr10), 40 (chr11) and 375 SNPs (chr17) that did not associate with any gene in the QTL boundaries. UTR, untranslated region; ‘Region SNP’, SNPs that are +/- 2 kb of the gene boundaries. Data obtained from Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) (informatics.jax.org), and each locus is in a separate tab.
