The data set includes trace-element geochemical analyses of volcanic tephra, geochronologic data for Dry Valleys ashfall deposits, locations and description of soil pits in the Antarctic Dry Valleys including those over buried ice, stable isotope data for shallow excavations into buried ice, grain size analysis of tills overlying buried ice, and surface meteorological data.
