Fish Gastrointestinal Microbiome Alterations Associated with Environmental and Host Factors

These fish gastrointestinal microbiomes were sampled from three different streams over the course of two seasons across two host species: redbreast sunfish, Lepomis auratus, and catfish of the genus Ameiurus. The structure of fifty-six microbiomes were analyzed using QIIME 2 and compared to metadata including water quality parameters, fish age, hepatosomatic index and other metrics.
