Trading Returns for Privacy: Experimental Evidence from Financial Data Leaks

Data from a laboratory experiment, in which participants had to complete an investment task in which one option in each decision may offer a higher expected return but carries an explicit probability that selected financial information (income, wealth, debt, and related indicators) could be revealed to peers, while the alternative option is privacy‐safe.
