Analysis_of_epithelial_oviductal_cells_in_GPR133_KO_mouse

We are investigating the functional role of a gene that encodes a cell surface receptor belonging to the class of adhesion G-protein coupled receptors. Homozygous mutant female mice are completely infertile and the fertility phenotype does not appear to be due to failures in either gamete development, recognition or embryo implantation, but rather in the transport of ovulated eggs through the oviduct. To gain insights into the mechanistic basis of this effect we will perform RNAseq analysis in the oviductal epithelium from knock out and control wild-type mice before and after ovulation.
