Pseudomonas fluorescens SBW25 genome assembly and annotation update

We resequenced the Pseudomonas fluorescens SBW25 genome (taxon ID 216595). This strain was sequenced originally at the Sanger Institute and published in 2009 (Silby et al 2009, PubMedId:19432983) . Here we deposit an updated sequence that derives from PacBio long read sequence data with 600x coverage. The sequence was derived from the originally archived strain. The PacBio assembly is 139 basepairs shorter than the Sanger assembly: with respect to the Sanger assembly, our new PacBio assembly has one deletion of 356 basepairs and two insertions of is 3 and 214 basepairs, respectively. All three polymorphisms occur in non-coding repeat regions. In addition, we found 4 SNPs in rRNA genes. We provide a new genome annotation that combines the original manual annotation by Sanger Institute with the latest reference annotations for Pseudomonas fluorescens SBW25 (Refseq GCF000009225.2 and Genbank GCA000009225.1).
