HONEYPOT TECHNOLOGIES AND THEIR ROLE IN CYBERSECURITY

This article analyzes the role and importance of honeypot technologies in cybersecurity. The principle of operation of honeypot systems, their types and capabilities in detecting and analyzing the activities of cybercriminals are highlighted. It also discusses ways to identify vulnerabilities in network infrastructure through the use of honeypot technologies, study new types of cyberattacks, and increase the level of protection of information systems. The results of the study suggest that honeypot systems are an important tool for improving cybersecurity monitoring and developing effective defenses against modern threats.
