2013年年底，文化部亦展開對東南亞藝術家及文化工作者來台參訪的補助。此時與「鄰居」交流的熱潮正方興未艾，本館配合2014年《現代美術》改版為季刊開始，將以「海外拓展：東南亞當代藝術」策劃一系列專題。

By the end of 2013, the Ministry of Culture also initiated subsidies for visits by Southeast Asian artists and cultural workers to Taiwan. At this time, the wave of exchanges with 'neighbors' was just gaining momentum. Starting with the quarterly issue of the reformatted 'Modern Art' magazine in 2014, the museum will plan a series of special topics under the theme 'Overseas Expansion: Contemporary Art of Southeast Asia'.
