This study investigated the seasonal variation of microbial communities and their effects on sandstone sculptures in 2022 and 2023. We compared microbial communities using the samples collected from the sandstone sculpture located at Wat Umong in wet and dry seasons. For this, we investigated the differences in the diversity, structure, and function of the fungal communities by using culture-dependent and culture-independent approaches for monitoring and controlling the risk of microbial growth.
