资源简介:
Biomass and abundance of foliage arthropods and leaf phenology for a network of eight cloud forest landscapes across a 1700-3100 m elevation and 1000-2500 mm rainfall gradient in the Andes of northern Perú. Seven landscapes are located in the department of Amazonas, with one in San Martin. Arthropod data were collected using foliage branch-beating on 116 visits at different times of year across the network, 2015-2019. Desiccation resistance experiments for 477 arthropods, 2017-2019. Around 50k arthropods were collected in alcohol for future use. In situ leaf phenology of understory shrubs and canopy trees were scored in the field and documented using repeat canopy photographs for future use. Vegetation greenness (EVI) was calculated from the MODIS Terra satellite within a 5-km radius filtered for &gt;50% forest cover within a 300-m elevation band. In situ weather data (temperature, precipitation, vapor pressure deficit, cloud cover) summarized and modeled from Newell et al. (2022). Weather data collection with Andean communities is ongoing. If you are interested in using the data please contact the authors. It is important that analysts understand field data and that all contributors are recognized appropriately in open science. We would be happy to speak with you.<br>
