BIO2050 Lab 3 Dataset 3 Grasslands

Group members: Karin Yosefi Joelle Brooker Kamil Adamczewski Brittney Jorisch Sweep nets were used to collect insects along a 20 metre transect during a 25 second walk along the transect for 10 replicated to examine abundance and number of recognizable taxon units (RTU's) of each sweep to determine the diversity of insects found in the Danby Grasslands. Data was determined visibly based on how many insects and what RTU's were seen in the nets. Equipment used included a transect and a sweep net. The sample size (n) was 10 sweeps along a transect. Experiment was conducted at the Danby Grasslands on October 1st at 3:45 PM.
