The accession contains copy of Salinity, Temperature and Depth (STD) data in the (TESAC) format. This contains one month data that was sent as radio messages from ships to Ocean Products Center (OPC) in September 1988. Data was collected as part of Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) and was received from NOAA, OPC, Camp Springs, Maryland. The data was submitted by Mr. John J. Kundrat Jr. The data on magnetic disk has been copied to current NODC data storage format.
NOTE: On November 24, 2004 when this abstract was written the 0-data file could not be opened by Mozilla as it did not recognize the type of file in which the data was present.
