资源简介:
Zooplankton samples were collected from Corpus Christi Bay Channel in July 2013 and Aransas Ship Channel in September/October 2014. These samples were collected using a 150 um mesh plankton net with a 50 cm diameter. In 2013, samples were collected by surface tow and in 2014, the net was attached to a pier and was flown for 5-10 minutes during the flooding tide. Acartia tonsa and Pseudodiaptomus pelagicus were isolated from the 2013 samples and Temora turbinata were isolated from the 2014 samples. This dataset reports on two different experiments each measured with and without the addition of natural ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. The first exposed zooplankton to one of four treatments: control with no oil or dispersant, 1 uL L-1 Sweet Louisiana crude oil only, 1 uL L-1 of crude oil and 0.05 uL L-1 of Corexit 9500A dispersant, or 0.05 uL L-1 Corexit 9500A dispersant only. The second exposed zooplankton to various concentrations of crude oil (0 uL L-1, 1uL L-1, 1.5 uL L-1, or 2 uL L-1). In both cases, zooplankton were exposed to treatments for 48 hrs. This dataset reports mortality, length, biomass, growth, swimming speed, and path length for sampled species.
