This Bioproject comprised the amplification of the 16S rRNA gene in the blow of humpback, gray, blue and long-finned pilot whales off the coast of Eastern Australia, Mexico and in the Alboran Sea (Mediterranean). We aimed to compare the blow microbiota of two whale species with different levels of sociality, by analysing the alpha and beta diversity of the microbial communities and the core bacteria.
