CO2 sequestration fractions

This dataset provides output from the CO2 sequestration calculations presented in the following paper: Siegel, D. A., DeVries, T., Doney, S., &amp; Bell, T. (2021). Assessing the sequestration time scales of some ocean-based carbon dioxide reduction strategies. <i>Environmental Research Letters</i>.<br>This dataset provides the fraction of injected CO2 retained in the ocean for 0-1000 years after injection, which is referred to as f(t) in the above referenced paper. This fraction is shown in Figure 2 and Figure 4 of the above referenced paper, which can be reproduced using this dataset. This dataset only covers the years 0-1000 years, while the results shown in the above referenced paper are based on simulations running up to 5000 years after injection. For the longer simulations, or other output from the model, please contact the author.<br><br>A Matlab script with some example calculations is also provided. This script loads in the dataset and plots the fraction sequestered after 100 years for CO2 injection near the seafloor, and also plots f(t) from 0-1000 years for a user-specified location.<br>If using this dataset, please cite the original publication of Siegel et al. (2021).<br>
