Vent dataset

The Vent Dataset was collaboratively developed by the University of Piraeus in Greece and Pompeu Fabra University in Spain. It is currently the largest annotated dataset encompassing text, emotion and social connections. This dataset includes over 33 million posts and their corresponding social connections from nearly one million users, with each post assigned an emotion label. The emotions within the dataset are structured into 63 "emotion categories", forming a two-level emotion classification system. The Vent Dataset was created to advance research in the field of affective computing, particularly the effective recognition of emotions in online user behavior. It features wide-ranging applications, aiming to address core issues such as sentiment analysis and emotion recognition, and provides researchers with a unique benchmark corpus for sentiment analysis.
