Rhodomyrtone is a bioactive plant extract from Rhodomyrtus tomentosa, with established anti-proliferative effects. This study assessed the potential of rhodomyrtone for curtailing TNF/IL-17A-driven inflammation. RNA-seq analysis was conducted on monolayer primary keratinocytes (NHK ) treated with IL-17A/TNF and/or rhodomyrtone. NHK were pretreated with rhodomyrtone (50-600 ng/ml) for 1 h before stimulation with recombinant human 20ng/ml IL-17A and 10 ng/ml TNF-α (both R&D Systems) for 24 h.
