Leading activities of married couples in Japan 2022

The most common activity shared between married couples in Japan was eating dinner together in the evenings, as reported by almost 89.1 percent of married women surveyed in July 2022. In contrast, showing physical affection was an activity common among less than half of the respondents and their spouses. Sexual intercourse between married couples in Japan had the lowest share, with under 25 percent of female respondents claiming to be regularly involved in sexual activities with their husbands.
