VPRS 11489 List of Authorised File Classifications

This series consists of a list of subject headings and file titles for the central correspondence series maintained by the Council for a time. It includes both file numbers and file titles arranged in file number order.The primary headings are broad categories such as Accounts, By-laws and Regulations and Town Planning. Each of these headings is represented by a number. Many files have been created under these headings by the addition of secondary and tertiary classifications. Numbers are also used to represent these further classifications.This list may have been used by the Council to check if a file had been raised under a particular file title or file number.
