资源简介:
The repository contains two Excel files with data collected in two field experiments on freshwater mussel movement and burrowing behavior. 1. longterm.xlsx – Data were collected during a 56–57-day translocation experiment assessing locomotion of Unio nanus and Anodonta spp. across three habitats (UC, AS, TR) under different treatments. Each mussel was individually tagged with a shell tag and a PIT tag. Shell measurements (length, width, height in mm) were recorded, and positions were tracked at five observation timepoints. Distances moved between observations (d1-d5) and total distances (dges) are provided, including daily movement (dpd1-dpd5) and total movement normalized by shell length (dges_p_cm_shelllength). 2. short-term.xlsx – Data were collected in a 17–23-hours controlled experiment evaluating burrowing depth of Unio nanus and Anodonta spp. Mussels were individually tagged and placed in boxes filled with coarse aquarium sand placed on the streambed surface. Shell measurements (length, width, height in mm) and wet weight (g) were recorded, along with experimental location (three habitats: UC, AS, TR), box number (1-3), burrowing depth category (0%; 0-25%; 25-50%; 50-75%; 75-90%; >90%; 100%), and mean burrowing depth (%) of the category.
