资源简介:

Derived database and analysis code accompanying the PhD thesis "Characterising Tropical Deep Convection and its Organisation using Satellite Observations" (N. Borah, IISER Pune) and the two arising preprints. The deposit reproduces the published figures, tables, and headline numbers from CloudSat, MODIS, and AMSR-E observations over the 30°S–30°N tropical band (2006–2016): the entrainment rate retrieved from the level-of-neutral-buoyancy gap, its day–night contrast over tropical land, its near-flat scaling with cloud radius, and its variation across mesoscale-convective-system organisation classes.Contents: (1) a raster-stripped, mongorestore-ready dump of the derived myClouds MongoDB database (per-event thermodynamic profiles, scalars, and geometry; the image/raster fields are dropped as re-derivable from the NASA-archived granules); (2) per-event summary tables in NumPy .npz and Parquet form; (3) the analysis scripts that turn the database into the published results, with a per-figure / per-table / per-number mapping; (4) the original 2022 processing pipeline that built the database from the raw satellite granules, included as provenance. Database credentials are scrubbed from the code. MODIS segmentation images and raw radar rasters are documented as re-derivable rather than shipped. See README.md for the full manifest and reproduction guide.
